Miami County processes employment applications online through the Miami County website. Candidates may view and apply for an open position by visiting the Job Postings page.
If new to the site, to apply you must first create an online account, then complete the profile, where application information is entered and documents such as a resume may be uploaded. To apply, while logged in to your personal account, select the job you wish to apply for, and submit your application.
The application information you enter is stored as part of your account to make it simple to apply for future job openings, and this information may be updated. It is the responsibility of each applicant to know their account username and password, and to keep the employment information in their account profile up to date.
There is also the option of the 'Notify Me' feature of the Miami County website. Using this feature, you may also select to be notified via e-mail and/or text message when a new job opportunity has been posted.

Once an application is submitted online, Human Resources receives and reviews the application. It may then be forwarded to the hiring supervisor for review. Qualified candidates of interest may be selected and contacted for an interview. After the hiring decision has been made, those interviewed are contacted and informed.Considerations

All regular, full-time employees are eligible to receive the full package of county benefits. Elected officials are also eligible to receive county benefits, but do not accrue paid leave time. Regular, part-time employees may be eligible to receive certain benefits on a pro-rated basis. Miami County participates in a Section 125 Cafeteria Plan that allows employees' cost of benefits to be paid from salary before taxes. This results in increased spendable income by decreasing taxes.
