County Commissioner Jene Vickrey
District 1 covers Wea Township and the City of Louisburg.
Biography
Jene was born and raised on a family farm just north of Louisburg and is a lifelong resident of Miami County. He has been married to Teresa since 1981 and has four adult children; Jacob and his wife Kori live in Louisburg and have three daughters, Emma, Oliva, and Anikia. They own the Enigma 68 escape room in Louisburg. Daughter Jasmine also lives in Louisburg with her daughters Analeigh and Avery and works as a stylist at Frankies in Louisburg. All five granddaughters attend Louisburg Schools. Son Joshua lives in Louisburg and works in the family business, and his twin sister Johanna works as a Registered Nurse in Topeka.
Jene and Teresa worked on the family farm until transitioning to owning Vickrey Flooring in 1985. They are active in their Church, "Faith Chapel," in Louisburg. Theresa has been a crosswalk guard for 34 years, works part-time, and volunteers at the Louisburg Senior Center.
