The role of the community health department is to provide leadership to the public health and medical communities in a coordinated effort to detect, respond to, and prevent illness. Programs administered by the health department include:

  • Women’s Health Care
  • Immunizations for all ages
  • Women, Infant, and Children (WIC)
  • Kan-Be-Healthy Screenings
  • Maternal & Child Health (formerly Healthy Start)
  • Services with Home Visitor
  • Special Health Care Needs (SHCN)
  • Chronic Disease Risk Reduction
  • Disease Investigation & Containment
  • Nurse assessments and limited labs

Monday

COVID-19 Vaccines are available by appointment only on Mondays from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM, and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

  • COVID-19 vaccines being offered: Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech/COMIRNATY (Availability of vaccines are subject to supply.)
Tuesday 

Appointments are scheduled from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Services available on these days:

  • Blood pressure and pulse
  • Blood sugar
  • General counseling
  • Hemoglobin
  • Immunizations
  • Injections (must have a doctor’s order)
  • TB testing
  • Urinalysis

Wednesday

Appointments from 8:00 am to 12:00 PM, and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

  • Flu Vaccine Clinic
  • Women's Health Care
  • TB Testing

Thursday

Appointments are scheduled from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Services available on these days:

  • Blood pressure and pulse

  • General counseling
